Turn personal challenges into fuel for growth, charting a course towards unabashed self-acceptance and joy.
MODULE ONE :
The Wheel of Life:
At the end of this course, you will have investigated and highlighted those areas of your life that are not in balance and that need addressing.
You will have learnt life coaching techniques that will enable you to lead a more balanced and empowered life.
The Wheel of Life is a Life Coaching technique that can be used to identify those areas of a person’s life that are not in balance and where they feel unsatisfied. By working with a Life Coach, the client can identify targets, and decide the steps they need to take to achieve their goals.
MODULE TWO :
Internalised Homophobia:
At the end of this course, you will have learnt how internalised homophobia affects almost every aspect of gay men’s lives negatively.
By recognising that internalised homophobia is based on an incorrect belief system you will be better empowered to challenge it and live a more empowered life.
Internalised Homophobia is probably the biggest issue that gay men face every day. It is the belief that we are not good enough because we are gay and this leads to negative thoughts and behaviours. But through life coaching those destructive beliefs can be replaced with empowering ones.
MODULE THREE :
Self-love:
At the end of this course, you will have improved your mental health and well-being.
By learning how self-love is an important concept, you will have increased self-acceptance and confidence.
Many gay men suffer from a lack of self-love where an individual does not value or appreciate themselves, resulting in negative self-perception and self-worth. This module examines its causes and how it can be addressed.
MODULE FOUR :
Coming Out:
At the end of this course, you will have increased your confidence and authenticity as a gay man.
By following the tools in this course, you will have learnt techniques to deal with any negative reactions surrounding coming out.
Coming out is an ongoing process for many gay men who want to declare their sexuality. This module helps men know if they want to come out, how to plan for it, and how to face positive and negative reactions.
MODULE FIVE:
Body Image:
At the end of this course, you will have examined reasons why so many gay men have such a poor image of themselves.
By following the course, and incorporating Life Coaching techniques, you will have been able to improve your self-image and body confidence.
Poor body image for gay men refers to a negative perception and dissatisfaction with one's physical appearance. This often involves critical self-evaluation and unrealistic comparisons to idealised body types. This course examines its causes and how it can be tackled.
MODULE SIX:
Establishing barriers in relationships:
At the end of this course, you will have learnt the importance of establishing barriers in different relationships – personal and professional.
You will have a greater validation of your self-worth and feel empowered.
This course examines the importance of establishing clear barriers in our lives. Too many gay men accept situations that are potentially harmful and disempowering. Clients will learn techniques that will enable them to lead the life they seek with others in a respectful manner.
MODULE SEVEN:
Procrastination:
At the end of this course, you will have learnt the causes of procrastination.
By following this programme, you will have learnt techniques for recognising when it occurs and how to tackle it.
This course examines procrastination in gay men – the art of putting things off. You will discover what it is, how to recognise when it is occurring, and how to deal with it.
